Support Groups

Erie, PA

Welcome to the Erie GRASP support group!
This group is an ongoing network of teens and adults on the autism spectrum to help us navigate the social world and be more successful in life. The meetings will include sharing stories, Q&A, and a discussion topic.

CONTACT: The facilitator is Mark at (mentatmark@gmail.com).

WHEN: We generally meet the forth Saturday of each month at 1:00 P.M. Please see the GRASP calendar for additional information.

WHERE: The Gertrude Barber Center on East Ave., at the E. 3rd St. entrance. Two EMTA bus ruotes, 21 and 22, run to around E. 6th and East Ave.
Please enter through the first gated parking lot on East 3rd Street.  The door is located at the far end of the gated area on your right.  We will meet in the Emerald Room 2,  located in the back of the cafeteria.

WHO: Anyone on the spectrum is invited, plus those in support roles if they clearly identify their role. Membership information is kept through the main GRASP office, so you must subscribe before you can attend.  This allows your membership to remain as anonymous as you desire.  We respectfully request that anyone in attendance not share with others the names of anyone else they have seen at a meeting.

COST: All GRASP groups are absolutely FREE to attend. However, GRASP survives on funding from foundations, corporations, and generous individuals. If you wish to donate to GRASP, we would gratefully appreciate it (and we’re almost certain to need it). You can make a tax-deductible donation with a credit card via our DONATE page or mail your check made out to GRASP to: GRASP, 666 Broadway, Suite 830, New York, NY 10012

(out of over 5000 people, we've luckily only had to use this 7 times.
But there'll be more— we are vulnerable by design as we do not demand that everyone bring often-expensive proof of diagnosis)
