I'm new here, just sayin' hi...  I'm 42 and I haven't been diagnosed, but reading Aspergirls was like reading a story about my life.  It has made me reevaluate everything that I've ever done and felt.  I wish I'd known about this sooner, I would have tried to make more of an effort in the relationships I've had/lost.  I didn't know I was different.......  Still trying to wrap my mind around it.  Here's to trying to build new relationships :)  Thank-you for this group.

Hi, Kathy,

I'm new as well, and have never had a diagnosis. I have considered I may be on the spectrum, as well. I will look for this book, it sounds interesting.

It's nice to meet you!

Hi, Kathy, I have started to read Aspergirls, and am loving it. Thank you for telling me about it.(I have a Kindle, and so am able to access books easily, and for an inexpensive price too).
How is your course going?
If you are interested, some people who have met through the chat room will be meeting for a first "Chat room support group", this Monday, at 9P.M. EST, which I think would be 6P.M. your time. I'm sorry, I'm not very clear on the time zone changes.(I think it's 8P.M. my time).

I'm glad you're liking the book Brenda. I keep thinking about getting a Kindle - how do you like yours? My course is going well. I'm almost done the last assignment - a big research paper - then I just have to write the exam. I'm hoping to get the paper done tomorrow as I start another course on Monday (Social Media for Small Business). I'll try to make it to the chat room on Monday, thanks for inviting me. Goodnight.

Hi, Kathy,

Your course sounds interesting.

Regarding the Kindle, I do like it. I find that I can have access so such a wide selection of books, and they are fairly inexpensive. As well, I seem to read more, even though I've always read alot.

Unfortunately I can't borrow free books from our public library, as Amazon won't allow Kindle users to do so. There are other e-book readers such as Kobo, that will let you download free library books.

Good luck with your studies, Kathy.

BTW, the discussion group on Mon. went good, and it's meeting next Monday agaain, only 1/2 an hour earlier, which would be 5:30 your time.

Take care,

Brenda :)

Hi Kathy, I too read aspergirls back in October and mainly cried through it all. Some tears were of joy and others not but at least now I know why I'm different. God bless

Yes, it was kind of a relief for me at first, but now I'm just depressed......

Yeah I completely get you. The day I signed up for this blog was one of my worst days. I had a terrible feeling of devastation. Together we can get better. God bless
