GRASP Interfaith Event This Sunday, April 22, 10 a.m. in New York City

Dear all (with apologies to those outside the NYC area):
 
A reminder that this weekend, GRASP is hosting "Persons on the Autism Spectrum in Their Communities of Faith," a panel discussion about how our folks feel their behavioral differences are accepted or rejected by their respective congregations. Practicing spectrumites will share their experiences this Sunday, April 22, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
Panelists include:
Dr. Irmi Jacqueline Ozer, Esq. (Bahai)
Henry Clarke (Christian)
Sybelle Silverpheonix (Wiccan)
Jacob Haigh (Jewish)
Perry Hoffman (Catholic)
Vincent Powel (Buddhist)
 
GRASP Executive Director, Michael John Carley, will moderate.
 
East End Temple
245 East 17th Street (between 2nd and 3rd Avenues)
New York, NY 10003
 
Closest subway is the 3rd Avenue stop on the L train. Union Square station (R, Q, N, 4, 5, 6 trains) is also within reasonable walking distance.
 
10 a.m.-12 noon
 
$25.00, suggested donation per person (cash or check at the door).
 
With huge thanks to Steven Katz and Dr. Ozer, we hope you can attend this event which will shed light on a too-overlooked aspect of spectrum life. Please note that no refreshments will be served.
