Brand new member
Hi folks! This is not really a response to the current conversation, but I just joined GRASP minutes ago. I dont have a picture of myself on my computer. However, I thought it would be polite to introduce myself. I'm a 46-year old male with a wife and 2 school age kids. My wife and I both work and live in Pekin, IL, and I was diagnosed with AS about 6 months ago. That's the basics; I'm so happy I found this blog!

You did hear of the young man with Asperger's from Woodstock that committed suicide by jumping in front of a Metra train? I wonder if he was on any kind of psychotic drugs, which, IMHO, do more harm than good to us on the spectrum.

I've been in central Illinois for 14 years, but I actually grew up in Chicago. I lived in the city itself for the first 31 years of my life, until I met my wife and got married. Good to meet another Illinoisan!
