Introducing Sandi W.

Hi Everyone,



I am new to GRASP. In fact, I am new to Asperger's and autism spectrum disorders. The evidence has been piling up that I may discover that I have lived 56 years of my life "on the spectrum." I live in Central Virginia, where I work as a counselor. My mom died a year and I half ago in May. I wish she could know what I am now finding out and that she did the very best she could. Adult Child with Asperger's

My daughter is 18 and has recently graduated high school. She has always wanted to go to college and so her high school years were focused on a low stress college prep program (called Career/College Prep). Over the summer she took one course that was focused on success in college and although there were some homework headaches she ended the course with an A. GRASP December 2011 Newsletter

Winter has been late in coming this year. The trees are bare, and the days are short and dark yet unseasonably warm. The lakes are not covered in ice, and snow is slow in coming.
