GRASP Support Groups for People with Asperger & Autistic Spectrum Disorders in New York

GRASP has a supports groups in  New York City and nearby suburbs and in upstate New York.  They meet monthly and are free.  You must enroll as a member though to participate regularly. The support groups are an opportunity for adults with high-functioning autism and Asperger's Syndrome to spend some time together.  We create a safe and friendly social environment for people on the autism spectrum (diagnosed or self-identified) to support each other. Programs that take Medicaid

The Fay J. Lindner Center for Autism & Developmental Disabilities: a comprehensive outpatient assessment and treatment program providing clinical care to individuals across their lifespan. Services include clinical care, research, program consultation, training, community education, resource information, and advocacy. We meet every 4th Sunday of the month at Biythedale Children's Hospital, Valhalla (Westchester County) from 10:30am - 12:30pm and usually have an interesting speaker at each session.

Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Autism Parent Support Group:

Who: All parents and caregivers of children with autism (The group is free and open to the public.)

When: The first Monday of every month at 10:00am
Where: 1650 Grand Concourse (Main hospital building) in Murray-Cohen Auditorium
What: All meetings are held in English and Spanish. Monthly discussion topics include legal advocacy, educational services and social support.
