Welcome to the Nashville Area GRASP support group! GRASP Nashville is a support group for individuals who are post-high school adults who are looking for a place to discussion common topics in an effort to learn to live well with a Asperger Syndrome or similar social/cognitive difference.
MEETING DATES: Please see the GRASP calendar for upcoming meeting dates.
LOCATION: We will be meeting at Center for Understanding, 120 Holiday Court, Suite 4, Franklin, TN 37067. Many meetings will be followed by an optional dinner out. The facilitator will secure a restaurant in advance that is budget and sensory friendly. If you choose to go for dinner you are responsible for the cost of your own meal.
CONTACT: GRASP Nashville will be facilitated by Dena Gassner, LMSW (Social work) and fellow Aspie. denagassner@gmail.com.
WHO CAN ATTEND?: Anyone on the spectrum is invited, plus those in support roles if they clearly identify their role. Membership information is kept through the main GRASP office, so you must subscribe before you can attend. This allows your membership to remain as anonymous as you desire. We respectfully request that anyone in attendance not share with others the names of anyone else they have seen at a meeting.
COST: All GRASP groups are absolutely FREE to attend. However, GRASP survives on funding from foundations, corporations, and generous individuals. If you wish to donate to GRASP, we would gratefully appreciate it (and we’re almost certain to need it). You can make a tax-deductible donation with a credit card via our DONATE page or mail your check made out to GRASP to: GRASP, 666 Broadway, Suite 825, New York, NY 10012

(out of over 6,500 people, we've luckily only had to use this 7 times.
But there'll be more— we are vulnerable by design as we do not demand that everyone bring often-expensive proof of diagnosis)
