GRASP Bridgeport Area, Connecticut Group is a peer-run support group that began in the Fall, 2010. Meetings are held at the Fairfield Public Library in downtown Fairfield, 1080 Post Road, Fairfield, CT. The library is about two blocks from the Fairfield train station - see the travel directions below.

Meeting Dates and Location: Please see the GRASP calendar for details on upcoming meetings. With the exception of December, April, and June, we will be meeting on the fourth Monday evening of every month from 7 - 9pm.
Membership information is kept through the main GRASP office, so you must subscribe before you can attend.
Travel directions to the Fairfield Public Library:
By Train: If you are taking the train from New York you would exit the train, cross Carter Henry Drive (which runs paralell to the tracks) and go straight down Sanford St. When you get to the end of Sanford Street take a left onto the Post Road. Go one block to Unquowa Rd. You will see the library diagonally across the intersection, it is a large brick building. Next, cross the Post Rd. The library is on the corner of the Post Road and the Old Post Rd, so you will need to cross the Old Post Road to get to the library entrance.
If you are taking the train from New Haven you would exit the train and walk towards the stairs that lead to Unquowa Road. Go to the right where you will cross over a bridge that goes over the train tracks. Go to the corner of Unquowa Rd and the Post Rd. You will see the library diagonally across the intersection, it is a large brick building. Next, you will cross the Post Rd. The library is on the corner of the Post Road and the Old Post Rd, so you will need to cross the Old Post Road to get to the library entrance.
Directions from the west (New York) on Connecticut Turnpike (I-95):
Take Exit 22 (Round Hill Road)
Take a right at the bottom of the ramp.
Go straight, under the railroad tracks.
Turn RIGHT onto POST RD / US-1. Go approximately 0.5 miles
Turn LEFT onto OLD POST RD.
The Library is on the corner of the Post Road and the Old Post Road.Directions from the east (Bridgeport/New Haven) on Connecticut Turnpike (I-95):
Take Exit 22 (North Benson Road)
Take a left at the bottom of the ramp.
Go straight under thruway and railroad tracks.
Take a right at the light onto the Post Road.
Go approximately 0.5 miles
Turn LEFT onto OLD POST RD.
The Library is on the corner of the Post Road and the Old Post Road.Directions from the east (Bridgeport / New Haven) on the Merritt Parkway (CT Route 15):
Take EXIT 44 toward CT-58 / FAIRFIELD / REDDING.
At end of exit ramp (light) turn LEFT onto CONGRESS ST
At next light turn LEFT onto BLACK ROCK TURNPIKE / CT-58.
Go approximately 1.8 miles
Turn RIGHT onto CT-135 / STILLSON RD. Continue to follow CT-135 for 2.6 miles
Turn RIGHT onto POST RD / US-1. Go approximately 0.5 miles
Turn LEFT onto OLD POST RD.
The Library is on the corner of the Post Road and the Old Post Road.Directions from the west (New York) on the Merritt Parkway (CT Route 15):
Take EXIT 44 toward CT-58 / FAIRFIELD / REDDING.
At end of exit ramp (light) turn LEFT onto CONGRESS ST

Turn RIGHT onto CT-135 / STILLSON RD. Continue to follow CT-135 for 2.6 miles

If you are unable to park in the lot behind the Library, there are 56 two-hour parking spaces on the Old Post Road. There are 70 more on-street two-hour parking spaces within a block of the Library. There are another 62 two-hour parking spaces in the municipal lot behind Sherman Green. You may also be able to use the parking lots of nearby commercial establishments when they are closed for business weekends and evenings.
